Julia Adolphe is a contemporary composer.


10/5/15 – James Conlon and the Cincinnati May Festival commission Adolphe to compose a 20 minute choral work to premiere in May 2016, Maestro Conlon’s final season after 37 years as the festival’s music director. Adolphe’s work will set five poems by Nahal Navidar.

6/15/15 – The New York Philharmonic releases its recording of Adolphe’s orchestral work “Dark Sand, Sifting Light” on their new album NYPHIL BIENNIAL 2014 > Available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and Spotify.
