9/30/14 – The League of American Orchestras and EarShot have selected Julia Adolphe as a winner of its orchestral commissioning program. Supported by the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation, the new program provides premieres and commissions to female composers.

June 5, 2014 – Dark Sand, Sifting Light
Alan Gilbert leads the New York Philharmonic in the premiere of Adolphe’s orchestral work Dark Sand, Sifting Light. Adolphe’s piece was selected for performance as part of NY PHIL BIENNIAL EarShot New Music Readings in partnership with American Composers Orchestra. 7:30 at Avery Fisher Hall in New York, NY.

June 14, 2014 – Veil of Leaves

Richard Scerbo conducts the world premiere of Adolphe’s Nine Lives featuring members of Inscape Chamber Orchestra at the Pikes Falls Chamber Music Festival. 7:00 PM at Jamaica Town Hall, Jamaica, VT.
